Some housekeeping notes…
I finally fixed the link to ODU blogger Brendan O’Hallarn: ODU–O’Hallarn
Also, updated the composite schedule by getting Elon at Hofstra on it, and wiping away the already played games.
Finally, made aware of a new Nor’easter blog by a kid Darren Costa. No clue as to its worthiness, but the very first headline I read was “This place is full of old people” so he gets a chance: Nor’easter–Costa
Mull has his latest Hawk Talk posted. Fans get to submit their questions and one will be answered per week. Here’s a hint–plan ahead and ask about Your Team. “Hey, how does Tomko look?” will get old by the time December 5 rolls around. But “does Moss have a special plan to stop Larry Sanders?” is a good one. (Just sayin…this is a good idea and a good forum, but it also means you can make it even better by being smart and taking advantage of this opportunity.)

VCU travels to Western Michigan for a game that will end up much closer than you think. First roadie for the Rams, and they aren’t taking Greyhound for two hours to play American. I don’t know exactly where Kalamazoo is, but you probably travel across several two-lane roads to get there.
David Kool is their best player and is a tough guy, not in the jerk sense but in the won’t-get-flustered sense. Think Chad Tomko with 25 pounds of muscle. This is the kind of game that will be 14-4 VCU; then 22-18; then 36-31 at half; then VCU will pull away a tiny bit. We’ll call VCU 78, Western Michigan 69.
The Fightin’ Montays host Bucknell. The Bison were 7-23 last year, but they were young and breaking in a new coach. Bucknell’s best player is a 6-8 kid named Patrick Behan–all other stats aside, Adam Pegg’s minutes played line may be the leading economic indicator here.
You just don’t lose these games, and Delaware will not. Hens 71, Bison 65.
