Circling The Association with a pile of things I didn’t write.

Promise for tomorrow: quotes from Matt Brady, Bruiser Flint, as well as some questions to ponder. Heck, depending how real life plays out today, you may have it by 5:00. (Not a promise.)

Anyway:

Brian Mull finished off his summer preview series with UNCW, part 2. I don’t know where we left off on the linking, but here’s Delaware, William & Mary, Mason, and VCU.

The Mason Bench has made huge strides in the past six months and is recommended if you’re interested in a Patriot’s view of the world. What’s more its boss man is a finalist in the school’s “Mason’s Biggest Fan” contest. You can vote for him at the bottom of the linked post.

Jeff Goodman wrote a nice piece on Charles Jenkins. Money quote:

“We’ve been good and we’ve won 20 games, but we haven’t been champions,” Jenkins said. “That’s all I’m concerned about. Winning a championship.”

Way too much legal wrangling for me, but the news bears reporting a link. JMU (and the Commonwealth) lost its court case to Marist regarding Matt Brady’s recruiting. It’s also way too early to pretend we know the next moves, because the particulars in the case don’t yet know this. What we do know? It’s a long way from over.

As tweeted yesterday, Matt Janning and Larry Sanders weren’t the only CAA brethren tearing up the NBA Summer League. Former Towson Tigers star Gary Neal made an impression.
