This is today’s salvo to the “other people can be way smarter than I can” strategy of how you will get good content.

Brian Mull writes over on the Wilmington Star News website about his top 10 CAA players to watch. Enjoy the list–there’s a ton in there that is spot on, except that he may have overstated Georgia State’s home attendance.

His entire lead bears extra emphasis: there are ingredients to this season that could make for a tasty mix. Talent, and talent returning, is in abundance. There are multiple opportunities–more than I can remember–to knock off name opponents. Everybody supposedly in the bottom of the league has middle-of-the-pack talent, and the top of the league teams all have noticeable holes.

We always say it, but this may be the season it actually plays out: every game will be a battle, and you should be surprised by nothing. This includes you-know-what.

But only if, in the words of Mull, “a higher caliber of talent had indeed entered the league recently, then this should be the season when those seeds began to bloom. Those once heralded recruits should be upperclassmen.”

Practice starts three weeks from Friday.
