So this just struck me, and I’ll give it more thought tomorrow to alleviate lamenting a declining golf game…

Eamonn Brennan tweeted a bit ago that “2009 is: Having someone you know get in a car accident, and confirming they’re OK from their hospital bed via Gchat mobile.”

This made me think that I added a note to the earlier post today that Rod Barnes had tweeted a link to a video of the coach talking about the progress of the Georgia State Panthers during early season practices.

How 2009 is that?

We’re not going to pick up the newspaper tomorrow morning and hope to get a “Notes” section with all the tidbits a beat writer accumulated over the past week. Rather, we get the coach himself, directing us to a video of himself, talking about his team, that we can look at right now. And send to our friends. Right now.

I’m not being hyperbolic when I say: think about that. Wow. The victory: organize it.
