So I must say two things:
Wonderful to have Kyle back and writing. If you can’t appreciate what Kyle does, then you don’t need to be here.
Beach has trumped me–and really everyone else on the planet, including budding nuclear physicists–in terms of geekdom. No really, you want to check this out. It is a preseason poll seed analysis of how teams actually perform against how they are expected since 2001-02. In the Colonial Athletic Association, a collegiate men’s basketball conference.
And–surprise!–Hofstra is in the best position as the #6 preseason team.
Seriously, it’s impressive work. I’m not really sure what the numbers mean, but the difference in second place and 11th place isn’t exactly measured in light years.
And I just smell something funny for this year–not Denmark rotten or the guy who wears cologne to play pickup hoops funny. Just that we’re going to hit Valentine’s Day and still not know what to make of the teams or the season.
(Side note for Jerry: this one is going to wreak havoc on your preseason poll analysis.)
