Tonight’s action is here…I’ll give you the lowdown: Drexel at Kentucky on ESPNU at 7:00, and Hofstra vs. Davidson on MSG at 7:00.
If you don’t get ESPNU (you really should switch to Fios), don’t sweat it. I’m wagering The Family of Networks will show Kentucky going for its 2,000th victory in program history approximately 1,999 times throughout the evening.
It’s already been decided–not in the Russell Crowe second Colisseum battle in Gladiator way–that Kentucky wins this game and makes us all jealous. Really, the jealousy is not the all time wins mark. It’s Gimel Martinez’s ’stache.
We hope Drexel can ugly this one up and scare the country. Bruiser and Calipari are friends, which means nothing. UK by 15.

Interesting game reach ties: Kentucky has John Wall, who took money from an agent and was suspended for one exhibition game and one regular season game. The NCAA ruled on that one in about 10 days. Hofstra has Brad Kelleher, who played four games with pros in Australia this summer and the NCAA refuses to rule–we’re at more than 100 days and 12 games.
(Yes, more on that is coming.)
The coaches are friends, too. Davidson’s head coach, Bob McKillop, hired Tom Pecora to Pecora’s first coaching job–as an assistant at Long Island Luthern High School in 1984.
Chuck and Chaz run away with this one late. Grasshopper 72, Pat Morita 64.
