Life has taken over. Three more teevee contest this weekend. Enjoy them all.
We said we always have a weekend key. This Saturday: road performance. We’re fresh off the four-in-eight, and all six games feature a road angle to eyeball.
Towson at Delaware: Don’t laugh, this will probably be the most competitive game of the weekend. It’s also your nooner Comcast special. I have to say I like the mojo surrounding the Fightin’ Montays. Much more so than at Towson.

The Dub at Nor’easter: NU has the top defense in the conference and is playing well. UNCW has the worst offense in the CAA and is playing poorly. NU is at home. Any questions?
NU 65, UNCW 58
Mason at James Madison: This is your 2:00 Comcast game. The Patriots had won 10 in a row over their rivals until they hit The Convo last year. JMU dealt Mason a 68-66 loss that surprised a lot of people. Give ‘Em Hell is going to throw around the talented but comparedly skinny Mason front line.
JMU 69, Mason 65
VCU at Ga State: We tip at 6:00 with a teevee audience as well. This will be a challenge for Larry Sanders. His audition for scouts was cut off by Tom Yeager, then he threw 31 on Hofstra the right way. The Panthers are big and will physically challenge him. How does he respond?
VCU 73, Georgia State 58
Drexel at Old Dominion: I fear for Bruiser’s team. ODU is a bad matchup for them–huge up front and long in the backcourt. This is going to be one of those games where Drexel is not that bad, and Old Dominion is not that good. However check the Monarchs guard play, because they might be that good.
ODU 64, Drexel 52
Hofstra at The Fightin’ Pugs: At some point Beach will have the full monty for you. Here’s what it boils down to for me: Chuck Jenkins has to shoot 20 times, make half his shots, shoot eight free throws, and turn the ball over fewer than five times. Add a double-figures night from Nat Lester and Hofstra wins.

Where did you see that VCU vs Georgia St is on TV? I haven’t seen it listed anywhere. :/

…and how about those Patriots? So much for throwing around our skinny front line. Great games from Long (all-CAA today), Cornelius (love his confidence), Pearson, and Morrison (great D on Bowles). We needed a big road win, and got it. Gotta keep rolling with another road win on Tuesday.
GO MASON.
