I didn't think that Villanova loss would amount to much at the beginning of the season for Mason since it was going to be up-and-down youth-driven rebuilding year, but right now, it could be a great resume addition for a possible at-large bid. Villanova has stayed near the top five all year, too. Same deal with Northeastern - imagine if they didn't start 2-7. They're probably the league's best team right now based on the mix of talent and experience. 11 in a row? Incredible. Yep…you’re right, Eric. Just think, GMU and NU had tough 5-6 OOC records, yet they had a bunch of close losses (mostly on the road) against top 50 RPI teams. A couple more points against Nova, Dayton, URI, St. Mary's, Sienna, Georgia Tech, and we're definitely looking at a 2-3 bid league :( We do deserve two or more bids…I don’t know if it’ll happen though.

Just think, GMU and NU had tough 5-6 OOC records, yet they had a bunch of close losses (mostly on the road) against top 50 RPI teams. A couple more points against Nova, Dayton, URI, St. Mary’s, Sienna, Georgia Tech, and we’re definitely looking at a 2-3 bid league :(

I hope it continues. This league is so damn good. Towson gave it their all on Sat. vs. Mason, and they're supposedly a bottom dweller.
