Two reminders:
1. Keep checking the Friday Matchups tab you’ll find at the top of the page. As we uncover nuggets and links, they are being added. Special thanks to Dan Crain, Mike Brodsky, and Jerry Beach for their invaluable aid in uncovering some fun stuff to add. Some are below this morning.
2. Hashtag #caahoops to participate in all the CAA fun. It is being aggregated on the GameDay page, but don’t wait until Friday. I’ll be tweeting from the banquet tomorrow night, and you can add your thoughts, predictions, shortcuts and traffic woes getting to Richmond. And yes, I need to remind myself, which is why I remind you.

The whole tweetstream thing got me thinking again that the way we consume information is changing. This weekend is going to be a prime example. Instead of picking up the morning paper to get review/preview information and trying to mine nuggets from that, we get to participate together in real time.
You used to have to beg for local radio coverage and turn the volume way down at work, but now we can stream it live through a browser. And with the tweetstream, we can participate. Our conversations are thus what’s happening, not what’s going to happen. And that’s phenomenal.
Some guy somewhere summed the whole thing up best. “If it’s important to me, it will find me.” I love brilliant simplicity.
It’s also how I get my CAA and college basketball news. Thanks to Twitter, I can bring to you these things that may have gotten past us:
Mull with tourney and Dub coach search links, but he misses the Roanoke Redneck “tooo-namint.”
The Ramnation crew with a very good tooonamint video.
EDIT: two more for you…the WRHU kids interviewed the top seven coaches as part of its CAA tourney preview…and Pat Forde could be the best in the business at blending humor and information. Good guy, too. Scroll to the CAA item and I dare you to not laugh out loud.

Random stats and nuggets:
Both Towson and UNCW only had three players each appear in all 18 CAA games.
Towson is the only former A-East school to never earn a first-round bye, even back in the days of the 10-team CAA when the top six all got byes.
The Towson-UNCW game represents the largest age discrepancy between head coaches in CAA Tournament history. It also likely represents the largest discrepancy in number of games coached in a career.
And the answer to our Twitter Trivia:
Since 2001-02, the only teams never to lose a game in their white/home jerseys: Georgia State and Delaware. In the 25 year history of the CAA tournament, only Navy, GSU and Delaware are undefeated in their home uniforms.
